The transition from summer to winter and vice versa may be quite intense in some cities. In contrast, some cities might experience only a few degree drop in temperature.
The good news is that’s there’s plenty of things you can do to get your skin acclimatized to the new weather.
First thing first, you need to know why summer skincare is different from winter skincare.
In Summer, the temperatures are much higher, which results in more production of oil by the sebaceous glands leading to oily skin. Oily skin is most likely to make way for acne, pimples, itchy scalp, etc.
However, In winter, the temperatures are comparatively much lower, which leads to the opposite- dull and lifeless skin.

Use of Sunscreen
The sun might have a significant influence on your skin in summer as well as in winter. Thus, one should use sunscreen throughout the year. However, the frequency of its usage might reduce slightly.
Change Your Moisturizer
You need to change your moisturizer from a lightweight to a nongreasy irritant-free one in winter, also apply some good amount of moisturizer on your whole body.
Hydrate and Cleanse well
The best skin care routine one must follow, especially when the heat strokes hit you hard, is to cleanse and exfoliate effectively. Cleanse your face twice a day and scrub your skin two to three times a week to get rid of dirt and grime from deep within the pores.
Use soothing cleansers and stay low on makeup.
In winter, our skin tends to get parched and lifeless. Thus, one should hydrate more often using a cream-based moisturizer or an intensely hydrating serum. Do not prolong your hot water showers. It is best to exfoliate your skin with a subtle foaming scrub. Exfoliate less frequently and always remember to moisturize immediately after exfoliation for soft and hydrated skin!
